A number of Nigerians in Bauchi State have rejected the All Progressive Congress (APC) and adopted the Labour Party in order to establish a New Nigeria. Peter Obi, his running partner Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, and other party leaders stormed Bauchi State on Thursday for a presidential campaign rally and to court people ahead of the next election, according to reporters.
At the campaign gathering, enthusiastic supporters shouted and chanted “Obi, Obi, Obi” in big numbers. At the gathering, the burning of brooms as a symbol of the people’s separation from the APC made an epic statement.
This comes a few days after Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, attended a campaign rally in the state that unexpectedly ended due to power troubles.
