The member representing NkanuEast/West Federal Constituency of Enugu State in the House of Representatives, Honourable Nnolim Nnaji has raised alarm over the spate of high profile murders in Enugu

Hon. Nnaji who was reacting to the gruesome murder of Engineer Dons Ude after he was forcefully abducted by unknown men apoealed to the security agencies to hunt down the perpprators of the various dastardly acts in Nkanu land.

Late Engineer Dons Ude was a governorship aspirant under All Peoples Grand Alliance, (APGA) in Enugu State in the run-up to the just concluded general elections in the country.

He said he was saddened by the increasing rate of criminality in the State and Enugu in particular and emphasized the need for the members of the public to assist the security agencies by volunteering useful tips that will help in tracking down undesirable elements in the society

“It is regrettable that criminals are getting more emboldened by the day because our security agencies appear helpless and incapacitated ” Hon. Nnaji stressed urging the Federal Governent to increase fundings to the police and other forces to help them acquire more modern equipment that would help its personnel in tackling the insecurity in the country.

He described late Engineer Ude as one of the shinning lights in Nkanu land and Enugu State, who served the state and Nigeria in various capacities.

The deceased, an astute politician and former scribe of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Enugu, was a two-time former Commissioner in Enugu State and former Federal Commissioner, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
