“As a leader, a former legislature and a role model to millions of Nigerians who command a lot of respect, we feel it is necessary to solicit for your support, guidance and blessings, now that the position of the speakership has been zoned to the North West.
‘Our party said they have subjected the issue of zoning to wider consultation, that is why we are here to consult with you and to seek for your support, guidance and prayers.in making sure that one of your own becomes the speaker of the 10th Assembly.
In his remarks Sen Kwankwatso said he appreciate the level of commitment of Hon Jaji towards the project, saying ” this is our second meeting and that shows the level of seriousness from your part.
‘I think the party missed some steps, they missed some vital consultation before taking such decisions concerning ⁰the leadership of the National assembly. The North Central is bitterly complaining particularly with the issue of Deputy Senate President, I don’t know how they would do it, but they have to reconsider their decision.
‘On my part, I wish you well, from day one I told our legislators to go and make consultations with regards to who they want as leaders and am happy you have some of them with you.
“The former governor advised Hon Jaji to continue with his campaign and consultations, saying ‘I know your relationship with Mr. President has been very cordial, I don’t thing as a person he has anything against you, I think it is not over yet, I thank you for honouring us. Now that we have a President in place, I will make sure we do the right thing”, he assured.
