Honourable Dauda Alaya, the New Nigerian People’s Party, (NNPP) candidate for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency of Kwara State was live on GERI FM 95.5 Radio Monday afternoon, February 20, 2023 to sensitise the electorate on the importance of the next Saturday’s elections.
Come Saturday, February 25th, 2023, Nigerians throughout the country will file out to vote for the Presidential and National Assembly candidates who will pilot the affairs of the country for the next four years with effect from May 29th, 2023.
While the president and the vice president who will emerge on Saturday, February 25, 2023 will take their oath of office on 29th of May, 2023, the successful National Assembly candidates will be inaugurated perhaps by the second week of June, 2023 to begin their legislative duties.
Honourable Alaya as a front runner in the race for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency took time off on Monday afternoon to make a live broadcast to his constituents urging them to go out in their numbers to cast their votes for him and his party, the NNPP.
He reminded them that next Saturday’s elections will be crucial to the future of the country and as such require that they be guided by their consciences in the choices they make.
Honourable Alaya stressed that the country has been bedevilled with serious economic and security challenges which demand that the new set of leaders to be elected must be people with capacity, competence and courage to rescue the country from total wreck.
