The Gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party, (LP) in Enugu State, Honourable Chijioke Edeoga has pledged to rejuvenate public schools in the state if elected governor.
Honourable Edeoga gave the assurance on Saturday night during a question and answer session live on twitter powered by VawulenceSpace Media.
The Labour candidate stressed that his government would strive to raise the standards of education by making sure that environment for learning became more conducive through the provision of proper infrastructure and learning tools.
He also talked about the capacity building, adequate incentive for teachers and strict supervision and inspection as part of the plans to improve the quality of learnings in public schools
Edeoga equally emphasized on his plans to cut the cost governance and make agriculture the pivot his of ensuring that the state became  productive.
He listed animal husbandry, rice farming and palm plantation among others as the aspects his government would focus on and offer necessary assistance to the citizens willing to invest in them.
In the area of sports, he disclosed that the in-coming Labour government in Enugu State would revive the school competitions right from primary to tertiary levels.
He promised that his government would build more stadia and other facilities to encourage the developments of the various arms of sports.
He further stated that the Land and Housing would be digitalised to make processing and acquisition of lands more transparent and less cumbersome.
