The remains of His Royal Highness, Igwe Francis Osochi O. Okwor, the Enyioha ll of Ikem, Isi Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State will be committed to mother earth on Friday April 28, 2023.

He died at the ripe age of ninety, (90) years after a forty-seven year reign. He was crowned Igwe Enyioha ll, of lkem in 1976.

God Almighty blessed him with an enduring wisdom laced with good health to preside over his people with fairness and genuine respect for all.

Late Enyioha II was just and firm in dispensing every dispute that was brought to him in his lifetime. It was indeed an attribute that greatly endeared him to his subjects.

His last ofalla and interment have elicited mass return for all Ikemites from far and wide to pay him a well deserved honour and love for his legendary leadership.

Members of the Enugu State Executive Council will be led to the Igwe’s Palace on condolence by the State’s out-going Governor, His Excellency,  Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the Governor-Elect, Dr Peter Mba.

The state’s Council of Igewes and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party,  (PDP) as well as the Local Government Chairen will also be in attendance to commiserate with Prince Martin Okwor one of the sons who is the Managing Director of the Enugu State water Cooperation.
The people of lkem-Ubosi all the way from Abia State who are ancestral brothers to lkem people are equally expected to grace the burial ceremony with a strong delegation.
